Many individuals wish to move to Germany because of the high standard of life, world-class healthcare, plentiful work possibilities, and calm atmosphere.

General qualifying criteria

Employment migration

Here are several work visa possibilities if you intend to relocate to Germany to work.

Work visa for Indians: Before visiting Germany, Indians must apply for both a work visa and a resident permit. They must apply at the German embassy/consulate with the following documents:

·       A job offer letter from a German-based firm

·       Passport with enough validity

·       Annexed to the employment permit

·       Educational qualification documents

·       Letters of employment

·       The letter of approval from the Federal Employment Agency

 

If you are travelling to Germany with your family, you must satisfy the following requirements:

·       You should be able to sustain yourself and your family.

·       You must offer lodging for your family.

·       All members of your family must have a basic understanding of the German language.

·       Your children must be under the age of 18.

 

The EU Blue Card

You can receive an EU blue card if you have a post-graduate degree from a recognized university and a job in Germany that pays at least €56,400 before entering the country.

You can obtain the EU Blue card if you have a master's degree or an equivalent recognized by German authorities, at least five years of experience in your profession, a job offer in highly skilled employment for at least one year, meet the minimum salary limit in Germany, and documents proving that German legal requirements for the regulated occupations are met.

You have a good chance of receiving an EU Blue Card if you are a brilliant professional in science, IT, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) or medical.

 

Job Seekers Visa

A jobseeker visa permits skilled foreigners to enter Germany and look for work. These visas allow holders to stay in Germany for up to six months and look for work. The German government has approved new immigration legislation that were introduced in 2019.

This visa requires a minimum of five years of work experience in a field connected to your academics, proof of 15 years of suitable education, enough finances to cover all of your expenditures for six months in Germany, and proof of your housing arrangements for the six-month stay.

If you get a job, you should apply for an EU Blue card or a residence permit right away. Following a successful time of stay and employment in Germany, you would be permitted to bring family members to the nation and possibly petition for permanent residency.
